Anne Frank & Education In India

For entire Last week i was reading 'Diary of young girl' , an emotional and loveable diary written by Anne Frank during her hideout days(on the tough part she died at end of WW2) . When I navigate through the pages I was able to smell increasing maturity level of her writing far ahead of her age(14 years). If she can write to such an extent then it is obvious that she had read more books too.Through out her writing she has emphasized about reading books and her crush towards book.

I thought about myself . how many books i might have read by 14 ,as that of anna Frank read in 1944 ? None!!!!! I have not even opened my innings then. As far as I remember Schools days are all about ranks and marks. No one cared about knowledge one possess.

As for me education is all about tuning of mind .To tune ones mind , one has to read. The more they read(Learn) the more is the tuning.

Education in India is becoming more and more service oriented. Its all like you get an degree , you earn ,you pay me the Tax. This is an alarming situation where an whole younger generation is build without moral vales ,culture , and ethics. Indian government has to encourage reading more books which are rich in values and knowledge by altering school syllabus.Modern syllabi has to be framed in such a way it has to increase appetite for knowledge and not for marks.

I still remember an saying in Tamil 'Padi....Padi...Padi.....athu unadu vetri padi'.I believe I read it in a book.
